Beautiful place for a relaxed coffee date
Very pleasant, cozy atmosphere, very good menu selection
Always tasty, always good, always surrounded by green
Very pleasant ambience, delicious cakes and tasty hot drinks. Great view, nice waitress. The preparation or distribution of the ordered drinks and meals is extremely quick and leaves nothing to be desired.
We just wanted to eat a piece of cake. The cafe wasn't empty, but it wasn't very busy either. After 15 minutes, still no waiter has come to see us. Better to take your money somewhere else, apparently you donβt need it here.
Top staff, very friendly
Nice building from outside. In the garden is beautiful. Recommended to remain outside.
The rudest coffee shop I've ever come across. Just wanted to buy a cake to take away and waited at the entrance to ask if we would have to add ourselves to the lists. But nobody came, so I went in to ask that. Then it happened quickly. We were yelled at "You stay outside for now". Reason - An elderly couple who approached each other from the opposite side had to be reprimanded first, who did not know that you can only go in on this side, but not go out. So the fault wasn't ours and the two were far enough away from us, especially since I wanted to turn left to the counter and not at all into the garden, where the two of them came from. But then it was enough for us. They are also welcome to keep their over-sweet, average-tasting cake (which we had taken with us now and then on Sundays due to the lack of alternatives).
A very nice cafe in beautiful surroundings. The chandelier inside is beautiful and an example of public art that is even beautiful. The coffee was good and so was the food. Completely satisfied. You can now go almost normally again during Corona times, you just have to go through the main entrance of the botanical garden and wear a masle when you enter until you are at the square.
Very nice, courteous and attentive service. Prices ok. Location nice. In addition to various drinks, there are also cakes, ice cream and some other dishes
Was very nice only the noise from the hedge cutting machines directly in front of the terrace was very unpleasant
Nice employees, well implemented Corona concept. Cake just ok.
Panna cotta blueberry and raspberry skyr tarts were great and so was the cappuccini. The daughter was also very satisfied with her Nuremberg sausages on sauerkraut.
Greenhouses closed and a large part of the garden cannot be entered, which was not nice. But the price has stayed the same, right? Nevertheless, a wonderful variety of shapes and colors!
Bad service! We have been waiting here for 30 minutes now and our table has not yet been cleared by the previous guest and we have not even received a drink, let alone a 'hello'.
I visited the cafΓ© with my family in August 2020 when we visited the Botanical Garden in Munich. The staff was friendly, the selection of the offer was okay and the prices customary for the location. The ambience on the terrace was good, the large awning protected from the sun. Deduction for the inability to pay by card.
The location right in the middle of the Botanical garden is very nice as is the modern cafΓ© building in general. It offers hot, hearty food as well as coffee and cakes. The food quality is only ok though, prices are acceptable for what is offered. Staff is friendly, service fast. The location can be booked for private events. Attention: closing 30 minutes before the botanical garden does according to its seasonal opening hours. Cash-only, entering only possible by getting a ticket for the botanical garden as well.
Quite disappointing. The food was ok but decently overpriced for what was offered. That would not be a problem in itself, since the cafe saved us from the rain and we were welcomed by a very friendly waitress. Stupidly, however, we were not informed that you cannot pay with cards! There were no other signs or similar in the restaurant that pointed this out. We live in a time when you can pay cashless in some weekly markets. Apparently we expected too much ? ... In addition, when asked about card payment, we were told that even weddings or events can generally only pay with cash. It ended with my husband having to walk to the nearest ATM (luckily "only" 700m away). I sat in the cafΓ© for about 20 minutes and waited. During this time, I was unfortunately ignored or ignored.
Bad expensive food, bad service, Corona creates an unsightly atmosphere. Instead of professional, primitive barriers, unnecessarily extensive restrictions, long waiting times at the entrance. Service did not lead us to the table after a long wait. Has rushed ahead, put the registration slip somewhere on a table, didn't even tell us where to go, didn't care about us and let us search for the table intended for us. We were there a while ago, before Corona, and we were very dissatisfied even then. We will not go there anymore. And do not recommend anyone to spoil their stay there in the botanical garden. Better take something to eat and drink from home, sit down on one of the numerous benches somewhere in the garden, for example on the small lake, and enjoy the time.
Great cafe with friendly staff and delicious ice cream.
I was able to celebrate my dream wedding in February in the cafΓ© of the botanical garden and recommend this location to every future wedding couple in Munich. Even if the cafΓ© seems rather inconspicuous in normal operation. Why should you celebrate here? 1. You have three separate but interconnected rooms here - the adjoining room is perfect for a free wedding ceremony (and to park tired toddlers and babies later!), The elegant hall is great for eating and there is dancing in the bar area. In this way, one guest can chat in the large hall and the others dance wildly in the bar area without annoying each other. 2. The price is reasonable. 3. The experience with which advice is given when choosing the menu. 4. My insider tip: Don't order an unnecessarily expensive cake from a confectioner for 500 euros, which nobody will taste anyway. We gave the team a free hand, let ourselves be surprised and received the best wedding cake ever! 5. At a certain time the botanical garden is closed and you and your guests have it all to yourself! Especially in summer it is wonderful to be able to stretch your legs in between. 6. The warmth! Our two main contact persons took the time for us at any time, advised us and eliminated our worries and concerns with the flick of a finger. Dear bridal couples, if you are looking for a special and unusual location in Munich - then take this one!
We celebrated our wedding here and it was the perfect choice! We were perfectly supported by the wonderful team. Super helpful and attentive! The food was exceptionally good and the whole organization simple and uncomplicated!
Decent coffee and cakes. I really enjoyed the terrace.
Very good for coffee and cake
Good selection of vegetarian dishes. This is great! Cake is nothing special, but you can eat it. I wasn't sure where the gelatin was, so I took apple pie. (In Germany, gelatin is added to cakes, um). Latte macchiato very well. Service made a professional impression. I was here for the first time after the renovation. I can imagine it is so crowded in summer that you can hardly get a seat at the weekend.
Nice place to sit amongst the garden, but service was slow, they forgot part of my order, and the food wasn't great.
Very slow service
Does not accept credit cards, but it is a nice place.
Cold food, incorrect check
No card payment possible Super spot in the middle of the botanical garden. Open on Sunday! The food is not memorable but for a small coffee and pastry is very nice. Helpful and fast servers. We will come back to test another season (summer or spring) for the terrace
Pleasant dining at outdoor tables, good selection of menu items, food, drink, and desserts.
Drinks and cake were fine but we were not allowed to sit anywhere. We were appointed an awkward table for two in the aisle and added another chair (we were a group of three) which did not improve the awkwardness. Furthermore they do not accept any form of card!
Apfelstrudel was awesome! Staff is nice. Good experience after walking through the gardens
Great view on the botanical garden and fair prices on the good side. Slow service and just-satisfactory food on the other side.
Great to have something to drink among the botanic gardens
This place is so calm.
Cannot cope with more then few customers. Dirty place, even asked to share a spoon with my girlfriend. No card payment possible.
Nice place to take a coffee and eat some cake.
This has a special place in my heart as it was one of the places my mom enjoyed having coffee at when she finished her time in the garden. Their cakes are very delicious and pricing is reasonable.
Poor service, very limited menu.
Super, especially in sunny winters, and equally nice in summers. The botanical surroundings make the place worthy of enjoying beer, coffee or food.
Nice place to go, food is good...
Food is OK, nothing special.
Acceptable !
Great espresso
As good as can be expected in such a touristy place.
Decent service. Food is not more than average. Nice view of the botanic garden though.
Go a bit earlier. Food is simple and good. A good view over the front of the garden. Not all places are sun protected
Good veggie burger, nice apple juice and coffee. Try the latte macchiato vergnano! Nice setting, good service. No card payment.
The cafe is located inside the botanical garden and as such, surrounded by lots of flowers (depending on the season). The food is very good and there are usually also daily specials available. Finding a free table might be a problem though.
